Legacy of Chemistry Department: The Chemistry Department has been operational from the establishment of V.S. Patel College and has received the fortune to get recognized as one of the largest departments of the Institute with more than 950 students enrolled in the past three years. The department started in 1961 with the subject specialization offering in Bachelor of Chemistry and with constant involvement over the years; it started offering the post graduation curriculum in Organic Chemistry from the year 8/10/1997. The department currently has a staff of 10 faculty members, out of which, 80% are having Ph.D degree
